Update 08/18/2023 4:01pm:

Reports surfaced on Thursday (August 17) of Keke Palmer's boyfriend, Darius Jackson, with whom she shares a child, moving on from their relationship. A source told People, "He's moved on," adding, "You don't have to be in the same household to be good parents."

The following day, Darius addressed the reports directly on his Twitter page, writing, "I haven’t spoken to anyone about anything or gave permission to anyone to speak for me.. So all these sites & post about me making any type of statement is false.."

This comes amid speculation that Darius and Keke broke up after he commented on the outfit that she wore to Usher's Las Vegas residency. Darius was met with a wave of backlash online, which led to him suspending his Twitter account.

Keke Palmer went viral for her moment with Usher at his Las Vegas residency concert after her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, told her she was dressed too scandalously for a mother. Keke continued to ride the wave of the moment by starring in Usher's "Boyfriend" music video.

While Keke has not publicly addressed her relationship status, according to People, Darius has "moved on" from their relationship. A source close to Jackson told the publication, "He's moved on," adding, "You don't have to be in the same household to be good parents."

This comes after Usher addressed his moment with Keke earlier this year, telling People, "I think everybody's vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that's what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song."

He added, "Every night, I'm thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I'll have with whoever I'm choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going and we just keep it light. I don't see anything negative happening in Las Vegas."
