NBA legend Dominique Wilkins shares insights into his basketball career, and he admits he almost left the Bulldogs, where he averaged over 20 points a game, after his sophomore year to become the first pick for Detroit in the NBA draft. At the time, he chose to stay, largely driven by his team's significant potential. Unfortunately, a subsequent injury affected their performance adversely. After leaving the University of Georgia, Wilkins was picked by the Utah Jazz in 1982's NBA draft, against his desire to stay in Atlanta. He never relocated to Utah, instead, getting traded soon afterward. Reflecting on the time, Wilkins says he doesn't regret his actions or decisions, expressing satisfaction about playing in Atlanta.
