Almost every generation of the WWE has produced a handful of pro wrestlers who have come out of nowhere with a cult-following and slogans that transformed them into superstars. It happened for Stone Cold Steve Austin with his "Austin 3:16" motto in 1996, and it occurred when an unknown heel named John Cena introduced the world to his new angle as a trash-talking rapper in 2005. The "Attitude Era" has come and gone, but the remnants still hold a special place in the hearts of fans from Generation X and the Millenial demographic. Right now, LA Knight seems to be the wrestler on the WWE's main roster who reminds fans the most of the "Attitude Era." His ring entrance, mannerisms, and finishing move (the BFT) have prompted many to compare LA Knight to Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. His mottos such as "Let me talk to ya" and "With everybody saying" are yet to have influenced pop culture the way that Stone Cold and The Rock did during the late 90s, but his words are growing in popularity; which is evident during each of his weekly appearances on Friday Night SmackDown.
LA Knight recently shared the inspiration behind his "With everybody saying," line during an interview. The Maryland native revealed that he was influenced by the chorus from "Let Me Ride (clean)" on Dr. Dre's debut album, The Chronic. LA Knight was a kid during the "Attitude Era" and Dr. Dre's heyday as a solo artist, so the source of his inspiration as a performer makes a lot of sense.
