Hip Hop has seen its Billboard charting dominance disrupted this year with no rap singles reaching the top spot on the Hot 100 charts. NLE Choppa says he believes he'll be the first rapper to reach No. 1 this year.

After sharing chart data showing that no hip hop song has reached that level this year, NLE Choppa wrote, in a since-deleted tweet, "Bet lemme change that rq."

Despite the confidence, NLE Choppa has only four Top 40 hits on the chart, with his highest-charting single being last year's "Slut Me Out" (No. 28). Before that, NLE peaked inside the Top 40 three previous times, with 2019's "Shotta Flow" (No. 36), 2019's "Camelot" (No. 37), and 2020's "Walk Em Down" (No. 38).
