Recently, Burna Boy went viral after he made comments about African Americans, saying they “lack culture,” which he later cleared up. Burna Boy said, “My mission is to bring us together. My mission is to build a bridge that can’t be broken, a bridge that should’ve always been there. So for me, that’s not really relevant. I don’t really look at none of that because I feel like when people say that, they have their own agendas.”

Since then, Burna Boy has revealed that he built that bridge he spoke of musically between him and J. Cole, with Cole making a bold declaration in Burna’s song “Thanks.”

On the track, J. Cole went on to say, “Cole and Burna, Shaq and Kobe/ Winnin’ a ring, then we gon’ repeat and three-peat/ Them nerds hate, they seat geeks/ They peepin’ us on the low, we like the cheat sheet.” Listen above.
