According to reports, it has been two weeks since Tory Lanez’s lawyer—Jose Baez, promised to file a motion for bail for the rapper amid conviction appeals and his current 10-year sentence. Recently, Baez posted an Instagram story of him in Italy, seemingly showing he is taking his time getting to the motion.
Outlets began to pick up the story, which prompted Baez to release a statement on the current status of the filing. Via Instagram, Baez said: “Finally to all of Tory’s fans. I can report that his motion for a new trial covered many of the issues that will be appealed.”
Baez continued saying, “The court reporter has not completed all of the transcripts and until that happens he must wait to file the appeal. As for other motions, Tory is evaluating ALL of his options.” Stay tuned for more updates.
