Previously, Tory Lanez’s lawyer Jose Baez spoke on what was happening with filing a motion for bail for the rapper following his 10-year sentence. Reporter Meghann Cuniff took to social media to show that Baez was in Italy, seemingly leaving fans and supporters of the rapper to wonder what was happening with the motion.
Now, Baez has taken to social media to clap back at Cuniff’s reports. Via Instagram, Baez said, “It has been brought to my attention that a blogger has claimed that Tory Lanez is not a priority because I’m allegedly in Italy. For the record, I travel to Italy 2 to 4 times a year. I have both business interests as well as clients who have business in Italy.”
Baez then claimed, “This blogger has had a clear bias against Tory and has attacked everyone associated with him as well as made numerous inaccurate assumptions. In fairness to her, she has no legal training and has never worked in the court system, so her opinions have little to no merit whatsoever.” Take a look above.

According to reports, it has been two weeks since Tory Lanez’s lawyer—Jose Baez, promised to file a motion for bail for the rapper amid conviction appeals and his current 10-year sentence. Recently, Baez posted an Instagram story of him in Italy, seemingly showing he is taking his time getting to the motion.
Outlets began to pick up the story, which prompted Baez to release a statement on the current status of the filing. Via Instagram, Baez said: “Finally to all of Tory’s fans. I can report that his motion for a new trial covered many of the issues that will be appealed.”
Baez continued saying, “The court reporter has not completed all of the transcripts and until that happens he must wait to file the appeal. As for other motions, Tory is evaluating ALL of his options.” Stay tuned for more updates.
