NBA legend Dominique Wilkins reminisced about his intense rivalry with Michael Jordan during the '80s. Wilkins recalls a moment in 1987 when Jordan walked into the opposition's locker room before a game with the Bulls. Jordan confidently told Wilkins it was going to be a "long night," later scoring over 60 points. Despite this, Wilkins believed his team had a winning night. Discussing their careers, Wilkins confirmed that he and Jordan averaged about 30 points a game. Jordan's famous competitiveness extended beyond the court, resulting in him being a consistent winner. This competitive spirit was mutual between Wilkins and Jordan, with the former stating, "We were trying to take each other's head off." Off the court, they were friends, but on the court, they knew no boundaries. Reflecting on his career, Wilkins admitted he pursued Jordan's scoring title relentlessly, but never managed to catch him.
