A woman in Port Saint Lucie, Florida found a unique way to leave the hospital - by stealing an ambulance. Marquesa Allen was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of stealing the ambulance from HCA, Florida Saint Lucie Hospital. CCTV footage from the hospital shows Allen, still in a hospital gown, walking past the parked ambulances before deciding to steal one. The theft was made easy as the attendants had left the keys inside the vehicle. However, unbeknownst to Allen, the ambulance was equipped with a GPS system, allowing the police to quickly locate and apprehend her on the turnpike, where she had run into traffic. Police chief Richard Del Toro commented that stealing an ambulance is highly unusual, stating, "I've never heard of somebody stealing an ambulance other than outside of a movie." Allen is now facing charges of resisting arrest and is expected to be charged with grand theft auto.
