Part 1: Alan Dershowitz on Why Donald Trump will be Convicted But Won't Do Any Prison Time

--------

Alan Dershowitz defended his association with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as one of his attorneys in 2011. Alan contested the idea that Assange's actions were criminal and suggested that publishing leaked documents could be protected by the First Amendment, likening it to The New York Times and The Washington Post's publication of the Pentagon Papers. He identified as a Democrat, actively supported and contributed significantly to Hillary Clinton's campaign, and voted against Donald Trump in both elections. Although Alan did not back Trump, he explained his opposition to the Mueller investigation. This opposition was not based on support for Trump but rather a belief in constitutional rights. Comparing his function as a lawyer to a doctor treating an illness, he emphasized that his commitment was to uphold his client's legal rights, regardless of personal opinion about them.
