KenJuan McDaniel, 25, an aspiring rapper out of Las Vegas, was arrested on a charge of open murder on Tuesday (September 5) after police claimed that he admitted to a murder in a song he released earlier this summer.
The song "Fadee Free" was released under McDaniel's rap name, The Biggest Finn4800, and police say it features lyrics that they believe are him bragging about the September 2021 murder of Randall Wallace, 32. Metropolitan Police Department detectives included lyrics in their arrest report, including the line, "Brought it with that fire, hear that ‘ah’, see your body twitching."
Video evidence of Wallace's murder shows his body twitching for several minutes before he died from his gunshot wounds. There were also lyrics about the shooter driving to the complex and walking toward the apartment where Wallace was standing outside, along with the shooter's friends running away before Wallace was shot.
Detectives say the lyrics in McDaniel's song are consistent with the video footage timeline of Wallace's murder, including allegedly using Wallace's nickname in the song. McDaniel is scheduled for a bond hearing on Sept.7 and a preliminary hearing on Sept. 14.
