Juicy J has been on a media tour while promoting his new book, Chronicles of the Juice Man: A Memoir, and during a stop at Sway's Universe, he spoke about the last time he saw his Three 6 Mafia groupmate Gangsta Boo.
Boo tragically passed away on New Year's Day in her hometown of Memphis this year, and Juicy J recalled having an uneasy feeling the last time they met. He started off explaining that Gangsta Boo's death "tore me up," and he went on to add, "I got a text that morning from [La] Chat, it was just like, ‘Boo dead.’ It stuck in my head."
Speaking about their last meeting, Juciy J explained, "Last time I saw Gangsta Boo was a couple of months before she passed. We talked about a lot of different things — we talked about life and her mom passing. We hugged and talked about old times."
He continued, "I noticed something about her at the time. She was doing coke at that time and she was very, very high. I can tell when you have that coke face and she was just sniffing and stuff like that. I ain’t gon’ lie, man, this is real sh*t — it’s scary, but it’s real sh*t. When she walked off, something was telling me like, ‘She gon’ die.'"
Juicy J explained that he was surprised that Gangsta Boo was still doing cocaine, as he revealed that she was doing it back in their Three 6 Mafia heyday. While addressing why he didn't say anything, Juicy J stated, "I hadn’t seen Boo in a long time and so, you know, she a grown woman so I wasn’t trying to be all up in her business … I wish I could’ve said something. I’m like, ‘F***.'"
