Boosie's new country artist, Common Tribe, opened up about his troubled childhood, which saw him enter the foster system at the age of eleven. He revealed that his mother was young and overwhelmed by her circumstances, unable to care for her four children. She was especially struggling with toxic relationships, and as a result, the children were often neglected, leading to a precarious home environment. After being relocated to North Carolina and Tennessee, Common Tribe ended up in various foster homes where he endured severe physical, verbal, and sexual abuse. The artist also recalled witnessing a fellow resident suffocate after staff bound the child for having a tantrum, an incident ruled accidental. Despite such hardships, Common Tribe's spirit remains unbowed as he embarks on his country music career with Boosie.
