The men's National Basketball team for the Philippines entered the FIBA Basketball World Cup led by their most accomplished and popular player, Jordan Clarkson. The combo guard for the Utah Jazz put up impressive numbers for the team in scoring (26.0 per game) and assists (5.2 per game) during a short-lived run before they were eliminated from advancing to the second round of the tournament by a surging Italian team on August 29th (83-90). Jordan Clarkson was not the only player who turned heads for the Philippines in "Group A." During pregame warmups, his backup, Rhenz Abando, often stole the show with a high-flying highlight reel of dunks, including a windmill slam and a 360. The 25-year-old only averaged 5.2 points per game in his limited playing time behind Clarkson, but he showed flashes of his potential when he dropped 14 points on China in a blowout win (96-75).

Rhenz Abando's pregame dunks have drawn comparisons to Vince Carter. Scroll up and press play to watch.
