He explains that this song represents the beginning of his journey as an independent artist. Leaving RCA was a conscious decision due to his feeling that the label was slowing him down. He preferred a faster release pace for his music. Despite his departure, he maintains that it was a learning experience with both good and bad times. He's proud of his track "Envy Me" hitting five times Platinum and garnering over 700 million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
