Dominique Wilkins expressed his devastation over the sudden death of Kobe Bryant. Ironically, Wilkins was on his way to a game when he learned about the tragic news, which left him in a state of shock and unable to drive. He fondly remembered Kobe being a dedicated player and said, "He was the last of our kind... that guy that always played no matter what." Vlad shared that the incident occurred near his house in Calabasas, which led him and other fans to gather in mourning. Wilkins revealed his last conversation with Kobe, during which Bryant was boasting about him to his daughter. The passing of Bryant, who Wilkins considered closest to Michael Jordan in terms of skills and killer instinct, has still been difficult for people to accept to this day.
