Vice President Kamala Harris just held a ‘Hip-Hop 50’ celebration at her residence in DC. One of the acts featured was Lil Wayne, who performed the song “Mrs. Officer” during his set. The performance went viral, as many tried to insinuate that Wayne performed the song as a jab at Harris and her background before becoming Vice President.
Wayne’s “Mrs. Officer” track refers to NWA’s “F**k Tha Police” and also finds the rapper speaking about how he made love to a female cop. Harris is a former District Attorney for San Francisco and served as an attorney general for California. Harris’ time in those positions found her facing backlash for openly favoring the police.
