Tyrese's interview on The Breakfast Club went viral last week, as DJ Envy confronted the famed entertainer for things he had allegedly said to Envy's wife. During the sit-down, DJ Envy told Tyrese that he wanted to box his mouth for "talking crazy" to his wife.
Tyrese addressed DJ Envy during his interview, telling him that he was regretful of things he did and said while on psych medication. He stated, "I've literally prayed that people could find it in their heart to not hold me to something that I said and did while I was literally out of my mind."
It seems that the interaction was still weighing heavy on Tyrese, who took to social media to explain the situation from his perspective. Tyrese appeared to wipe tears from his eyes while speaking on the interview, and he stated, "Y’all know that I could make the choice to go at both of them, and I’m not gonna do it. The choice that I’m gonna make is to wish them well in their careers, their marriage, their family, everything. I want the best for them I really do."
Tyrese also addressed Charlamagne, stating, "I can’t count the amount of times that he’s contributed to the stresses in and around my mental health; from being insensitive or just deciding to talk about a man that he actually knows."
When it comes to DJ Envy, Tyrese stated that, "The moment that he said ‘I should’ve box you in your mouth’…it took everything in me to stay seated in that seat."
