While expecting to participate in an R&B mixtape project, Envy was flown to Chicago by Kelly's team, but was left without any contact or direction upon his arrival. In response to whether he believes Kelly should be in prison following the "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary, Envy expressed his belief that if Kelly is indeed guilty of the accused actions, he deserves his sentencing. Envy also touched on the potential manipulation in the music industry, particularly the susceptibility of young, impressionable fans. As a father to four daughters, Envy further emphasized the importance of engaged parenting to combat this kind of exploitation.
