On September 4th, Shannon Sharpe made his long-awaited debut on ESPN's flagship show, First Take. Gone are the days when the NFL Hall of Famer sat across the debate desk from the legendary Skip Bayless. Now, Shannon is slated to appear on ESPN as Stephen A. Smith's co-host every Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, he hosts Club Shay Shay on The Volume (by Colin Cowherd) and his recently launched podcast with Chad Johnson called Nightcap. Needless to say, Shannon has a lot more on his plate than when FS1 employed him as Skip's co-host. Now, he's on television with multiple sports media heavyweights like Stephen A. Smith and Pat McAfee.
During Tuesday's episode of First Take, Shannon attempted to provide commentary to the viewers about Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadrius Toney, who trolled his former team, the New York Giants, after their blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Just as his soliloquy began, Shannon slipped up and called Stephen A. Smith "Skip" in reference to his old debate partner from Undisputed.
