In 1951, at the Albany Schenectady Fairgrounds in New York, a 15-year-old named Tommie Elliot became the youngest driver in the history of an official NASCAR event. The record has stood for decades, but it might be in jeopardy soon. Because a three-year-old boy who recently just zipped around a racetrack in his parent's Ferrari didn't appear to be rattled or overwhelmed whatsoever. Footage of the confident toddler speeding in the red Ferarri went viral earlier this week.
It's far too early to tell if NASCAR is in the cards for the young driver because he won't be eligible to obtain a NASCAR license or compete in a NASCAR-sanctioned division until he turns 14. Until then, mind-blowing videos like this one will have to suffice.
