An elementary school teacher in Oklahoma has been arrested for public intoxication after she was found to be drunk inside the classroom. Jennifer Davis, a teacher at an elementary school in Tecumseh, was arrested by the police after they observed her red and glassy eyes and slurred speech. According to body camera footage, Davis denied drinking that day and claimed to have only had a glass of wine the night before. However, when asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, Davis agreed.

The officer checked her eyes for Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) and conducted a breathalyzer test, both of which indicated that she had alcohol in her system. The breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level of 0.066, just below the legal limit of 0.08. Davis was informed that if she were to be driving at that moment, she would be charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI). The school administration will now decide on the action to be taken regarding her employment.
