Jermaine O'Neal made himself into one of the best players of the early aughts as a member of the Indiana Pacers. Between the years of 2000 and 2008, O'Neal made the No. 7 famous as a multiple time All-Star and offensive menace for big men across the league.

So it's not surprising that with other franchises retiring the numbers of players from his era that O'Neal feels a bit slighted considering how the Pacers are now letting someone wear the No. 7 instead of retiring it.

"I love Buddy and the work that he puts in. My statement has nothing to do with him," Jermaine commented on the Instagram post. "It is disappointing to watch teams every year recognize and celebrate the players who have been the franchise's very best players on and off the court but yet Pacers don't. It's been confusing and disappointing to say the least!"
