Charli Baltimore spoke with VladTV about her early life in Philadelphia, where she was born to a white German father and a black mother. Baltimore described Philadelphia as a tough city, which helped her learn to cope with adversity. Born at a time when mixed-race relationships were less common, Charli remembers experiencing racial tension and some people even accusing her mother of being the nanny. Despite being a teenage mother and navigating the complexities of race, Charlie insisted she was driven by her responsibilities and was keen to rise above the negativity. Reflecting on her then-boyfriend, she detailed the numerous abuses she had suffered, including him pushing her down flights of stairs when she was eight months pregnant.
