Hansel Enmanuel may not be as coveted as other teenage basketball players such as Bronny James and Kiyan Anthony, but he has become a rising star in his own right. Unlike Bronny and Kiyan, he did not rise up the ranks of college and high school basketball under the tutelage of a future NBA Hall of Famer in his household, but his father did play pro ball in the Dominican Republic. His high school basketball career at Life Christian Academy in Lutz, Florida, was filled with viral highlights, including high-flying dunks, a bevy of three-point shots, and dazzling assists (you can watch his highlights here). The 6'6" point guard averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists per game in high school but struggled to get playing time during his freshman with the Northern State Demons. So, he transferred to Austin Peay State University, where he will play for the men's basketball team this upcoming season.
Despite being faced with many disadvantages and obstacles on the college basketball level, Hansel Enmanuel has a NIL deal with Gatorade and Addidas. He also has a growing list of celebrity fans, including Philadelphia Sixers legend Allen Iverson. He's also made a fan out of Lil Baby, who he recently connected with backstage during his concert.
