Cleveland Browns All-Pro running back Nick Chubb will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a ghastly knee injury in the Browns' Monday night game against division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
Team officials say the injury is "significant" and believe he's suffered multiple torn ligaments in the knee. The nature of the injury was so stomach-turning that ESPN elected not to replay it. However, the home crowd for the Steelers were shown the replay and gasped before letting out a collective groan at the sight of it.
“We feel, obviously, for Nick,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “But I know Nick and his teammates know, and you have to move on.”
“He’s a man of few words who just keeps his head down and he’s always working,” Browns teammate Miles Garrett said. “And that’s the integrity he has for the game. That’s what we hope to have now, especially for him.”
