The US Marshals have now offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recapture of Kevin Mason, a wanted fugitive from Minnesota who was mistakenly released from a jail in Indianapolis. The hunt for Mason continues as authorities follow up on leads and potential sightings.

Mason is considered armed and dangerous. He is a murder suspect who allegedly gunned down Sharita Catchings outside Shiloh Temple more than two years ago. According to the murder charges against him, Mason and Catchings, who were friends and fellow gang members, got into a physical altercation outside a funeral before Mason shot and killed Catchings.

Mason has been on the run for the last two years. He was recently arrested in Indianapolis but was mistakenly released two days later due to a clerical error involving Minnesota arrest warrants and paperwork. Since his release, authorities have been focused on bringing him back into custody.

Over the last 24 hours, around 100 members of law enforcement have fanned out in hopes of locating him, despite reported leads and multiple sightings. Mason's girlfriend, who is believed to have been helping him on the outside in Indiana, has been arrested and remains in jail. The mother of Catchings, the man Mason is charged with killing, expresses her hope for his recapture so that she doesn't have to go through a long stretch of waiting for justice to be served.

The US Marshals are committed to bringing Kevin Mason back into custody and are offering a $10,000 reward as an incentive for anyone with information to come forward and help in the apprehension of the fugitive.
