Deal mentioned that he had been instrumental in helping people navigate their parole situations successfully. He advised G to engage in various programs and stay out of trouble before appearing in front of the parole board. Deal also offered to write a letter to the board on G's behalf. However, he later heard from someone in the same facility as G, suggesting that G was not taking the necessary steps to improve his situation.
From there, Gene Deal spoke about Puff claiming to want to help artists rise after holding on to their publishing in a similar way that he was done by significant labels he previously worked with. Deal then noted that the only artist to get over on Puffy besides Mase was Biggie, who was unable to live to see the money that was supposed to come his way.
