Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is quickly becoming the most popular NFL player in the league as a result of his budding relationship with singer Taylor Swift.
Over the weekend, Taylor and Travis went viral after she attended the Chiefs' blowout victory over the Chicago Bears. Taylor had a Tom Brady moment when she screamed "Let's f****** go" after Travis snagged a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes.
Following the game, Kelce's jersey sales went through the roof, spiking nearly 400%. "Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com," Fanatics told TMZ Sports.
It's clearly the "Taylor effect" considering that Kelce entered the 2023 season outside of the top 10 in jersey sales. He even trailed his older brother Jason who plays a much less glamorous position than he does at center for the Philadelphia Eagles.
