Nashawn Breedlove, who is best known for playing "Lotto" and battling Eminem in 8 Mile, has passed away at the age of 46.

TMZ spoke to Breedlove's family members, who revealed that he passed away in his sleep in his New Jersey home on Monday (September 25). They don't know his cause of death at the moment.

Nashawn was a rapper in his own right, going by the stage name OX. He was featured on the soundtrack for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre movie "The Wash," with the track "Don't Talk S***." Rapper Mickey Factz was one of the first artists to pay tribute to Breedlove online.

Factz shared a clip from 8 Mile, which he captioned, "RIP to one of the few emcee’s to beat Eminem… Lotto from 8 Mile. Who’s friends lovingly called him, OX. You will be missed for your tenacity and aggressiveness."

Daylyt commented on the post, writing, "The first mc who was ever robbed of his win in a rap battle! Rip lotto."
