Erica Mena faced massive backlash after a scene surfaced on ‘Love and Hip Hop’ featuring her and artist Spice, who she referred to as a “blue monkey.” Mena has apologized since then but now has taken to Instagram to reveal more information about the situation.
The TV show issued a statement noting Mena would not be appearing in the next season of the series, saying, “Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season. Effective immediately, she will not appear in the next season of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.’”
Via her Instagram Stories, Mena told another side of the story while posting a photo of herself on set, saying: “Working on @loveandhiphop August 25th, 2023, 4 days after August 29 they aired that episode proudly. I was even being asked to shoot a scene that Monday, August 28th, 2023.” Take a look above.
