Part 1: Albert Hughes on How They Came Up with the Title to "Menace II Society"
--------
Albert Hughes discussed his experiences working on the film "Dead Presidents," which was financed by Disney. Despite the unusual match between the violent film and the family-friendly studio, Hughes clarified that Disney's involvement did not cause problems during the production. Instead, he attributed the film's flaws to their relatively unchecked creativity due to the success of their previous film "Menace II Society." After his and his brother's success, they were given a $1 million contract by Disney, despite their initial reluctance. Hughes reflects that, despite believing "Dead Presidents" to be flawed due to lack of resistance and controls, he sees it as a valuable learning experience in their careers.
