Update 09/29/2023 3:51pm:

J. Cole's manager, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, is hitting back at rumors that Cole responded to NBA YoungBoy's diss on Lil Yachty's "The Secret Recipe."

Yachty dropped the song out of nowhere on Friday (September 29), and J.Cole spit a verse where he raps, "N**** makin’ threats and I laugh, that’s ’cause you ain’t a threat /Don’t ask how I feel ’bout no rappers, s***, they okay, I guess/ Incomin’ call, press the button, the one that say accept /He FaceTime to ask for a feature and saw the face of death."

Many fans thought it was a response to NBA YoungBoy dissing Cole on "F*** the Industry Part 2," where he rapped, "J a ho, that n**** played it cold like he was gon’ do a feature/So I texted his line a muscle sign, I swear it’s gon’ be nice to meet you."

However, Ibrahim took to Twitter to deny the rumors, writing, "I’m pretty sure this is . Not sure how y’all heard that cole verse and put that together, impressive."
