The YNW Melly saga has found the rapper awaiting jury selection for his second trial of an alleged double murder. The jury selection for the next trial begins on October 9. Now, a court date has been revealed for Melly’s co-defendant, YNW Bortlen.
Bortlen was the one who drove the victims of the shooting allegedly done by Melly. Bortlen is also thought to be the only witness alive. Bortlen was supposed to have a hearing on September 29, but the hearing was pushed back to January 12, 2024.
It was noted that Bortlen will be tried separately from Melly. An attorney for Melly—Stuart Adelson, said a jury will unlikely be selected for Melly’s trial before Thanksgiving.
