The recent indictment of Duane "Keefe D" Davis on one count of murder in relation to the killing of Tupac Shakur has brought the long-standing mystery of the rapper's death back into the spotlight. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, DJ Vlad discussed the circumstances around his interview with Keefe D, which has been referenced since the murder suspect was arrested last week.

When asked how he felt about Keefe D's arrest, Vlad explained that his goal was never to get anyone arrested but to uncover the truth. He had known about the story of Orlando Anderson killing Tupac, but there were no arrests or convictions. It wasn't until he heard the Keefe confession tapes that he decided to interview him.

In the interview, Vlad mentioned that Keefe D seemed to believe he had immunity and believed he had cancer, which could have influenced his decision to share information. Vlad used Keefe D's book that was about to be released as a blueprint for his questions, and Keefe D mostly went along with what was written in the book.

Vlad also confirmed that he was asked by Las Vegas police to help with their investigation by providing the raw footage of his sit-down with Keefe D. Regarding the police's requests for the unedited tapes, Vlad revealed that he didn't cooperate because he doesn't turn against the people he interviews. He stated that they had lawyers who blocked the police from obtaining the footage.

When asked about any concerns regarding his interviews leading to potential repercussions, Vlad expressed that he doesn't worry about doing his job. He has been covering serious issues for years and takes precautions by moving with armed security when necessary.

Vlad added that he believes closure to 2Pac's murder mystery came four years ago, when he did his first interview with Keefe D. He stated that 2Pac's family didn't necessarily prioritize the police solving the case, but various family members have expressed their satisfaction with the interview.
