In a domestic-related incident in Philadelphia's Burholme neighborhood, three police officers were shot and wounded while responding to a dispute between a father and son. The argument escalated when the son's uncle intervened, leading to a gunfire exchange. The child and uncle called 911 after the father shot the uncle. When the police arrived, the shooter, who had been waiting, immediately fired at them. Officers returned fire, fatally shooting the suspect.

Two officers sustained leg injuries, and a sergeant was shot in the finger; all are in stable condition. Nearby residents described hearing rapid gunfire, and some expressed concerns about rising violence in their community. One resident's home was struck by a bullet, narrowly missing family members.
