Over the weekend, a Taco Bell customer in Charlotte shot an employee inside the fast-food restaurant. The incident occurred on Saturday night when the customer, who was upset about receiving incorrect change at the drive-thru, entered the restaurant and opened fire. The victim, an unidentified Taco Bell employee, was shot multiple times and was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The shooter, later identified as 67-year-old Doll McLendon, fled the scene before investigators arrived. After tracking McLendon to a nearby apartment complex and reviewing security footage, officers arrested him outside his home. McLendon now faces charges of attempted murder and discharging a weapon in an occupied property. Witnesses and customers expressed shock over the incident, emphasizing that minor issues like incorrect change should never escalate to violence.
