21 Savage experienced a situation in 2019 that potentially found him facing deportation. ICE officers detained the rapper, and it was revealed the rapper was actually from the UK, living in the United States illegally for years after his Visa expired.
According to TMZ, a clerk in Dekalb County confirmed the rapper’s case was closed. Now, Drake has doubled down on 21 Savage’s immigration status, noting the rapper now has a green card. On his song “8AM in Charlotte,” the Canadian rapper delivered bars updating fans on 21’s situation, saying: “Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate.
