According to reports, Nicki Minaj has pushed to get a $26,000 jewelry lawsuit dismissed. A West Hollywood jeweler claims the rapper damaged jewelry she borrowed and failed to pay a $26,000 invoice sent to her.
Roseark Jewelry claims they loaned Nicki Minaj’s stylist Brett Nelson 66 pieces of jewelry for her to wear during a gang of appearances in April 2023. They claim the stylist allegedly signed a contract saying the jewelry was supposed to be returned with no damages a week later. The jeweler alleges the jewelry was returned late and had noticeable damages to two pieces when returned by Nelson. As a result, the store assessed the damage to be $26,239.50, along with interest.
Nicki and her lawyers have denied the allegations and requested that the judge toss the case “with prejudice and in its entirety,” with the rapper saying she isn’t taking any responsibility for the damage that did or did not do to the jewels.
