Todd Bridges, famous for his role on "Diff'rent Strokes," recently shared during an interview that he played a key part in hiring Janet Jackson for the show. Bridges revealed that he was star-struck by Janet Jackson during her "Good Times" days and wanted to get to know her. He suggested hiring her when the producers of "Diff'rent Strokes" were looking for a girl to join the cast. Later on, they ended up dating for a few years. Bridges talked about the nerve-wracking experience of meeting the Jackson Brothers, sharing anecdotes like Michael Jackson rehearsing "Thriller" by singing in the pipes in his house before it was released. He refrained from sharing certain stories about his time with Janet due to his respect and ongoing friendship with her. Bridges also shared his experience with the sensitive special episodes of "Diff'rent Strokes," particularly the one revolving around child sexual abuse, which he preferred not to watch due to the relevance to his own past.
