Hughes commented on the surreal environment, from white doves flying around the lobby to Prince's eccentric pitch meeting involving a glass table and offers of Snapple. The meeting culminated in the revelation of Prince's passion for a new film venture - a positive narrative about overcoming the struggles of the music industry. The most cherished takeaway from this surreal encounter was a CD handed to Hughes by Prince himself. Hughes called it his 'little man's fingerprint' souvenir, which he has strived to keep safe and unplayed to this day.
