When LeBron James was sixteen years old, he graced the cover of Sports Illustrated as the #1 high school basketball player in America. The 6'7" junior at St. Vincent–St. Mary was also bestowed with the illustrious label of Mr. Ohio during a season when he averaged 29 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. That was back in 2001, nearly six years before LeBron's youngest son, Bryce, was born.

Today, Bryce James is a sixteen-year-old high school basketball prospect who is nearly the same exact height as his father was at that age. According to ESPN, the starting shooting guard for Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, has a higher ceiling than his older brother, Bronny. The four-star athlete currently ranks #34 amongst his contemporaries in the class of 2025.

During the Summer at the Nike EBYL Peach Jam, NBA scouts (from teams such as Lakers, Heat, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Magic, Knicks, and Suns) tabbed Bryce as a priority in their scouting reports and drafts boards. But, first things first, Bryce has two years left of High School basketball as his stock continues to rise. Additionally, before Bryce walks the stage on NBA draft night and shakes Adam Silver's hand, he will likely play college ball. Some of his potential suitors include Duquesne, USC and Ohio State. The latter recently hosted the 6'6" guard on campus, for an unofficial visit along with his mother, Savannah James. During his stay, Bryce attended a football game between Ohio State Buckeyes the Maryland Terrapins, where he stood on the sidelines next to head coach of the men's basketball team, Chris Holtmann. He also took photos in a Buckeyes uniform.
