On Friday, October 6th, Hamas Militants bombarded two Major cities in Israel (Jerusalem and Tel Aviv) with over 2,000 missiles in a surprise attack. The tactical strike from the occupants of the Gaza Strip has ignited a series of counterstrikes and an official declaration of war from the country of Israel. According to an Israeli embassy representative, approximately 900 Israelis have already been killed, while another 2,150 have been injured. In contrast, Israeli retaliations have resulted in the death of at least 560 Palestinians.
As the battle wages on in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, Israeli forces just received a pivotal amount of military aid from the United States of America. Shortly after Israel was attacked, the U.S.A. deployed the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier (the largest warship in the world) to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The aircraft carrier, containing missiles, fighter jets, and additional warships, arrived in Israel on Monday as a part of President Joe Biden's promise to provide his country's allies with support.
