Thus far, the Gaza-Israel War has seen approximately 900 Israelis killed and 687 Palestinians dead. Among the confirmed causalities of his conflict are women, infants, household pets, and 14 Americans. The fighting officially began on Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. when Hamas Militants attacked Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Since then, well over 1,700 airstrikes have occurred in the Gaza region.
The ongoing war has already prompted the involvement of celebrities such as Kylie Jenner, Mia Khalifa, and DJ Vlad. The latter recently called out Drake and DJ Khaled, two of his contemporaries in hip-hop, for remaining silent on the critical matter despite being amongst the most polarizing celebrities of Jewish and Palestinian descent. The two rap moguls often collaborate musically. DJ Khaled's last three Instagram posts are literally about Drake. So, a joint post from the two regarding the Israel-Gaza conflict could at least have a positive impact of de-escalating the fighting amongst protestors stateside.
In DJ Vlad's post about Drake and DJ Khaled, he outlined his thoughts on exactly why he believes the two icons should weigh in on the matter before making a reference to the late Tupac Shakur, who did not hesitate to call out politicians and get involved when his community was facing an uphill battle.
