A new video captures the moment when an employee at a Manhattan Beach jewelry store opened fire at five suspects during a tense smash-and-grab robbery. The incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Prestige Jewelers.

In the footage, several employees are seen assisting customers when five suspects suddenly storm into the store. Another angle from a surveillance camera shows what seems to be a sixth person - a man - holding the door open for the group.

The robbers swiftly begin smashing glass cases with hammers, grabbing merchandise, and placing them in black plastic bins. Within seconds, one of the employees fires at least one shot toward the suspects. Upon hearing the gunshots, the suspects hastily flee the store. They escape in several waiting cars parked outside, according to the police.

While there is no immediate description available for the suspects, the video shows most of them wearing hoodies, gloves, and masks. It remains unclear if any of them were hit by the gunfire. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.
