Update 10/11/2023 2:15am:
Gillie Da Kid took time to address Birdman's remarks regarding Gillie's encounter with Lil Wayne. Gillie didn't seem too bothered by what Birdman had to say and was actually attempting to be dismissive of New Orleans legend. According to Gillie, he's not worried about Birdman because he's currently bigger than him and "generates more money." This comment got fans going as they called cap on Gillie claiming to generate more revenue than Birdman which many felt was far fetched despite the success of Gillie's podcasting venture.
Original 10/09/2023 12:52pm:
Previously, Mack Maine accused Gillie Da Kid of lying about an encounter with Lil Wayne, and now Birdman has called out Gillie for claims he made about ghostwriting for Wayne.
Via Clubhouse, Birdman spoke about Gillie, saying the statements he’s made over the years about Wayne is cap. “I never made a dollar off Gillie. Not one dollar,” said Birdman. From there, Birdman said Gillie caught his attention from the crew he was with, but that was the extent of their working together, noting again he never made money off the Philadelphia rapper-turned-podcast host.
The mogul then said, “Stop all that cap a** talking n****, you not like that,” before saying, “And he fasho, ain’t never wrote one rhyme for [Wayne].” Listen above.
