Lavar Ball spoke about starting his own basketball league for his sons. As per the dialogue, he created the league to allow his sons to continue playing basketball without the need to return to college. The move has also been aimed at increasing their skills and providing them with a diverse experience by taking them to different arenas overseas. Lavar revealed that he financed this league entirely by himself without any outside investment. Despite the pressures, he ensured that all participating players were paid monthly, even taking on up to 80 young athletes. This endeavor also helped support over 60 families for a certain period. Nevertheless, he felt it was unfair for the public to measure the success of his league with its longevity. Lavar criticized other public figures and sports commentators for scrutinizing his initiative without contributing something similar to the community themselves.
