In this clip, John "Boxer" Mendoza talked about facing a potential life sentence and the impact of his circumstances on his wife, who suffers from lupus. He highlights that despite NF's regulations against drug use, it is common among leaders who limit it to their private lives. He describes the call conversations being recorded during his time in the county jail, where he expressed a willingness to “cooperate” to alleviate his girlfriend’s stress levels. Authorities released these calls, causing turmoil amongst his fellow gang members. Despite assurances that he was not divulging official gang information to the authorities, suspicion arose amongst his peers, threatening his place within the gang. Although he fought back against these accusations for over two years, ultimately, his confession had severe repercussions, including mistrust and animosity within his gang.
