In this clip, GaTa opened up about being diagnosed with and living with bipolar disorder. He revealed that he first became aware he was bipolar during a period of severe anxiety. The rapper now embraces his mental health condition, even drawing inspiration from fellow rapper Kanye West, who has also been public about his struggles with bipolar disorder. GaTa admitted he initially did not want to take prescribed medication due to fear and misunderstanding of the condition. Today, he does comply with the medication prescribed by his doctors, underlining that it's critical for proper rest and functioning. He also mentioned a history of recreational drug use, including Xanax which he argues, while common, requires caution to avoid chemical imbalances and manic episodes. GaTa's treatment plan includes a life coach, therapist, medication, and the support of his family and friends.
