Sabrina Peterson, a former friend of T.I. and Tiny, has been directed by the court to pay a substantial five-figure sum to the couple after they successfully challenged most of the claims in her sensational lawsuit. Court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com revealed that a recent hearing took place regarding T.I. and Tiny's motion to recover attorney fees from Sabrina.
T.I. and Tiny, represented by their formidable lawyer Andrew Brettler and his team, managed to persuade a higher court to overturn a lower court's decision that had favored Sabrina. The couple argued that Sabrina should bear the burden of their $164,000 legal expenses incurred in their defense. Although the lawsuit is ongoing, many of the initial claims have been dismissed.
Sabrina contested T.I. and Tiny's request for legal fees, arguing that the bill was excessive and lacked evidence for certain billed hours. However, the judge ruled in favor of T.I. and Tiny at the recent hearing. While not granting the entire requested amount, the judge awarded the couple $96,702.
"The Court finds that based on its experience with fee rates in the Los Angeles area and based on the representations set forth in the Brettler declaration, the fee rates requested by the Harris Defendants are reasonable," stated the minute order.
Sabrina has been ordered to pay this amount within the next 90 days. Her reaction to the news can be seen above.
